Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Crossword Social. By using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Your account

You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Use a real email so we can reach you about your account. You must be at least 13 years old.

Your content

You keep ownership of the puzzles and clues you create. By publishing them, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so others can discover and solve it. You’re responsible for what you post, and you agree not to submit content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or abusive.

Acceptable use

• Don’t attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don’t impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Don’t use the service to harass other members or distribute spam.

User-generated content

Puzzles, clues, tags, profile details, comments, and direct messages are created by members. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You can report any puzzle, comment, or message for review and block any member to stop all interaction with them. We review reports and remove violating content and offending accounts, typically within 24 hours; content that crosses a report threshold is hidden automatically pending review.

Comments and messages are plain text only — links, images, and other media are not permitted, and answer spoilers are hidden from people who haven’t solved the puzzle. You may only exchange direct messages with members who follow you back.

Moderation

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crossword Social is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
